Hallo,

ich habe hier ein WSUS3 mit SP1 am laufen. Ich möchte diesen nun auf SP2 updaten. Wie geht man da richtig vor? Ich habe versucht das Service Pack 2 wie beim ersten SP einfach aufzuspielen und über das alte drüber zu bügeln. Das hat auch funktioniert, leider sind dann alle meine Konfigurationen verloren gegangen. Vor allem habe ich keine Lust alle PCs wieder am WSUS anzumelden falls sie es automatisch nicht schaffen sollten. Wie macht man es denn richtig?

ich habe jetzt ein zweites mal versucht das sp2 zu installieren und erhalte folgende fehlermeldung während der installation:

Es liegt ein dieses Windows Installer-Paket betreffendes Problem vor. Ein Programm, das im Rahmen der Installation ausgeführt wurde, wurde nicht erfolgreich abgeschlossen. Wenden Sie sich an das Supportpersonal oder den Hersteller des Pakets.

Was ich nicht verstehe ist dass IIS, Report viewer und .Net Framework installiert sind. Warum sagt das Log das Gegenteil?

EDIT: Nach Abbruch der Installation ist kein WSUS mehr installiert. Führt man anschließend die Installation erneut aus, wird der Neuinstallationsassistent gestartet. Dieser installiert den WSUS nochmal komplett neu und bei dieser Installation erscheinen keine Fehlermeldungen und komischerweise fehlen ihm dann auch keine Komponenten mehr.

Gibt es eine Möglichkeit das Backup der Datenbank dass bei der ersten, erfolglosen Installation automatisch erstellt wurde (siehe Meldung oben) nun in den neuen einzuspielen?

also ich habe den Windows Server 2003 auf den aktuellsten Stand gebracht und alle Updates installiert. Danach habe ich mir NOCHMAL die Release Notes angeschaut mit den Softwarevoraussetzungen und alles so angepasst wie MS sich das vor der Installation wünscht. Anschließend habe ich die Installation erneut ausgeführt und erhalte wieder die selbe Fehlermeldung.

Er beschwert sich nicht über fehlende Komponenten und führ die Installation fast komplett aus. Danach beendet er die Installation mit folgendem Error: x80070643

Übrigens der Konsolenbefehl hat nicht weitergeholfen.
Ich komm einfach nicht weiter.

Also ich hab das jetzt in deinem Link versucht und musste leider feststellen dass es nicht klappt. Die sagen nämlich dass man den Wsus Cert Server Dienst löschen soll und dann die Installation starten. Wenn ich das jedoch tue, dann bricht die Installation sofort nach dem Start ab und beschwert sich dass der Cert Server Dienst nicht gefunden wurde. Klingt logisch.

Wenn man den Fehlercode googelt, erhält man tausende von Seiten und jeder hat nen anderen Vorschlag oder nichts passt zu meiner Situation. Das Problem ist dass ich nach jedem Versuch das Backup zurückspielen muss, denn nachdem die Installation mit der oben genannten Fehlermeldung abbricht und ich das Setup erneut starte, wird eine Neuinstallation gestartet und dann hab ich zum Schluss einen leeren WSUS 3.0 SP2 und ich müsste manuell alle Clients nochmal einpflegen. zum Kotzen

Das wäre meine nächste Frage gewesen XD Sehr zuvorkommend. Ich werde das jetzt versuchen und das Ergebnis dann posten. Hoffe diesmal ein positives Ergebnis ^^

Woher bekomm ich denn das Cleanup tool? Hab in den WSUS.de Downloads gesucht und da war nichts. Wie ist der exakte Name? Find iwie nichts mit Dr. Google :S
