Hallo,

Ich habe folgendes Problem mit unserem WSUS-Server (Server 2003 Standard SP2):

Ich wollte ein Update auf das Service Pack 2 vornehmen, die Installation bricht aber immer mit folgender Fehlermeldung ab:

"Es liegt ein dieses Windows Installer-Paket betreffendes Problem vor. Ein Programm, das im Rahmen der Installation ausgeführt wurde, wurde nicht erfolgreich abgeschlossen. Wenden Sie sich an das Supportpersonal oder den Hersteller des Pakets."

Da vor der SP2-Installation die vorherige Version (WSUS 3.0 SP1) deinstalliert worden ist, ist der WSUS nun lahmgelegt 

Auch die (Neu-)Installation von WSUS 3.0 SP1 schlägt nun immer mit dieser Fehlermeldung fehl!

Folgendes habe ich bereits versucht:

• Alle Registrykeys/Programmordner gelöscht
• Das CleanUp Tool ausgeführt
• Im IIS 6.0 die WSUS-Seite bzw. ASP-NET Sachen gelöscht

Mal ehrlich, findest Du solche Tipps empfehlenswert? Mit Glauben allein kommt niemand weiter. Ganz im Gegenteil, das könnte ziemlich gefährlich enden.
